LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEM PLANT SZO plant
Life support system plant (SZO plant) is designed to clean outside air from toxic substances, radioactive aerosols and iodine to provide for the long stay of personnel in main control room (MCR) and emergency control room (ECR) without exceeding maximum permissible exposure doses in case of emergencies (emergency discharge of radioactive aerosols and iodine into the environment at NPP, fire at NPP, appearing of toxic substances in the area of air-intake).
The field of SZO plant application includes ventilation systems critical for safety at NPP, ONFC, and other nuclear facilities.
